Now it's official. Microsoft finally made it official to unveil Windows 9 on September 30th event in San Francisco and sent out invitations to press and concerned members.

Microsoft's Windows 9, the successor to the widely panned Windows 8, could be shown off at the end of Month. The US software giant revealed little information with invitations that read: "Join us to hear what's next for Windows and the enterprise."

It's not clear yet whether Windows 9 will actually be known as Windows 9. The operating system is currently code-named Windows Threshold, while the company hasn't revealed much about the Threshold update. There have been plenty of leaks surrounding Windows 9, but Microsoft is likely to have a lot more to show us on September 30, So stay tuned.
