This week after Galaxy Note 3, now its turn of Galaxy S3 to switch to Android 4.4 KitKat software update. Samsung has just dropped the source code for the Sprint version of the Galaxy S3 and it's available on the Samsung's open source web portal.
Users eagerly awaiting the update might not have to wait too long, as Samsung released the KitKat kernel source code for Sprint’s Galaxy SIII (SPH-L710). The build number is L710VPUDND8, and in addition to KitKat, this update will feature the Linux 3.4 kernel.
With the update to Android 4.4 KitKat, it's likely the Samsung Galaxy smartphone collection will see mostly feature updates in the speed department.
