After selling more than 500,000 units of own-branded tablet, the Hudl, the supermarket giant Tesco will launch an Android powered smartphone this year and will be comparable in specs to the recent Samsung galaxy S5.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, chief executive Philip Clarke confirmed that upcoming handset will feature hardware comparable to Samsung galaxy S5 and expecting to command a higher price to match its specifications. He added that a refreshed version of the Hudl tablet - "Hudl 2" tablet would be released in September.
