It's been way too long since Apple's last event in september, now Apple has sent out press invitations for an October 16 media event, teasing the tagline "It's been way too long." Undoubtedly this will be to announce new iPads and the new version of Mac OSX dubbed Yosemite.

The event is all over the press, with the standard story mentioning the obvious expected announcements.
