Every June at its Worldwide Developers Conference(WWDC), Apple gives a peek at some of its biggest software changes coming to Mac, iPhone, iPad. People were hoping so many announcements from Apple at WWDC 2015.

Some of the notable announcements from WWDC 2015were:

  • iPad multitasking.
  • APIs to surface app data in search.
  • Better Siri.
  • Music streaming service with a 15$ for 6 member plan.
  • Apple Proactive, similar to Google Now.
  • A newsreader product.
  • Swift 2.
  • A new version of OS X - OS X El Capitan (Devs get the first seed today -- yay!)
  • Swift goes open source
  • Apple released a lot of APIs (Double yay!)
  • Passbook + Apple Pay is now "Wallet"
  • Apple introduced a new app in iOS 9 called "News" (watch out Flipboard!)
  • watchOS 2 update
  • Apple Watch is going to support native apps now
  • Apple Music (Spotify competitor)
  • iOS 9 (proactive assistant, split view, more keyboard functionalities) - Dev version is out today!
